Based in The Hague in The Netherlands, Esfand comprises the Iranian Rouzbeh Esfand and the New Zealander Patrick Stewart. The duo fuses traditional Iranian folk elements with western beats and vocal features from well known exiled Iranian artists into something completely new. Their debut album 'Piltan' is a brilliantly danceable statement without any hints of ethno-kitsch.
