PSYCHEDELIC/PROGRESSIVE/FOLK

BLUE EFFECT - MEDITACE (LP/SUPRAPHON)

A reissue of one of the top titles from Eastern Europe's rock history. Blue Effect's 1970 debut-album consists of progressive rock with a touch of blues and some serious underground atmospheres. Recorded in 1969, the line-up comprised Vladimír Misk (vocals), Radim Hladík (guitar), Jirí Kozel (bass) and Vlado Cech (drums). This LP comes on 180-gram vinyl and is presented in a gatefold cover.

MANCO, BARIS - MEGA MANCO (LP/TÜRKÜOLA)

A vinyl reissue of the third full-length by Baris Manço, this time without Kurtalan Ekspres. While some songs reveal more modern synth pop influences, others are still rooted in the Anatolian rock-era. 'Mega Manco' was originally released in 1992.

SILVER APPLES - CONTACT (USA) (LP/JACKPOT)

US reissue on coloured vinyl, featuring sound from the original master tapes plus an insert with unseen photos. Originally released in 1969, this is the classic second album by the American experimental electronic pioneers.

WEST COAST POP ART EXPERIMENTAL BAND - VOL. 3 (MONO) (LP/JACKPOT)

Released in July 1968 on Reprise Records, 'Vol. 3: A Child's Guide To Good & Evil' is considered to be the band's most accomplished work and a masterpiece of the psychedelic genre. Released just nine months after 'Vol. 2', this work explores the band's incredibly creative psychedelic pop song writing with an accomplished mastery of studio techniques. Featuring the iconic original artwork by John Van Hamersveld (Beatles, Rolling Stones), this is a long awaited reissue in MONO with sound from the master tapes.

SHINDIG! - NO. 67 (Mag/SHINDIG!)

Shindig issue no. 67 contains features on Jimi Hendrix, Ronnie D'Addario, Blonde On Blonde, Unicorn, Sons Of Fred and Dungen. And of course you also get the usual sections such as Shindiggin', What's hot on the Shindig! turntable, Thoughts & Words, letters and emails, It's A Happening Thing, and much more.

VIDUNDER - THIRST/A FOOLING DREAM (7"/CRUSHER)

Vidunder is a bluesy hard rock band, at times with a garagey feel and influenced by the music from the '60s and early '70s. This cool 7-inch contains the self-penned songs 'Thirst' and 'A Fooling Dream'.

BIFANNAH - MARESIA (LP/THE JOHN COLBY)

Bifannah is the result of a 21st century merging of the rhythms of moody '60s garage with the Tropicalistas' psychedelia. Comprising Anta Figueiras, Guille V. Zapata, Antón Martínez and Pablo Valladares, the band was formed late 2015, half way between Barcelona and London. With a variety of influences from the '60s and '70s, and inspired by Magical Realism and mid-20th century Portuguese experimental poetry, the album is conceived as a journey that doesn't end in the past, but starts there.

BOOTCHY TEMPLE - CHILDISH BAZAR (LP/HOWLIN BANANA)

The second album by this French psychedelic pop group features the same melancholic vibe as its previous record. However, this time there's a more a poppy twist, mainly influenced by the Paisley bands, the Flying Nun Records' catalogue and '90s indie Pop. As a result, 'Childish Bazar' showcasess much more coherence and mastery, in writing, production and arrangements, using 12-string guitars and keyboards to enrich the superbly written pop songs.

CARNAVAL - MISS UNIVERSE (BLACK) (LP/COSMIC EYE)

The fourth album by Slovenian heavyweights Carnaval brings a mean, guitar-driven wall of sound and packs a sweet stoner punch. This edition is limited to 150 copies on BLACK VINYL.

COBRA FAMILY PICNIC - MAGNETIC ANOMALY (LP/CARDINAL FUZZ)

Spanning 40 odd minutes, Tucson, Arizona's Cobra Family Picnic creates a fuzzy, blissed-out haze that touches on an entire encyclopedia of underground psychedelia. There are traces of the trance indulging Suicide, the post-Velvets go-go freakout of Les Rallizes Denudes, the smoky snake-song of early Doors, the pulsating locked grooves of Neu, and much, much more. The LP is pressed on black vinyl.

CULT OF DOM KELLER - PARADISO IS ON FIRE (2LP) (LP/CARDINAL FUZZ)

Taking their cues from the likes of Spacemen 3 and The Jesus & Mary Chain, for the last decade DIY sonic alchemists The Cult Of Dom Keller have been creating "the sounds between the sounds between the sounds in our heads" from the confines of their East Midlands bunker. This live-album on DOUBLE-LP (black vinyl) was recorded in November 2016, Antwerp and Amsterdam and captures the raw, blown out power and the tangible energy of the group's infamous live shows.

ELEVATORFORER - PROV LIGE AT FORESTILLE DIG DET (LP/GATEWAY MUSIC)

Welcome to the catchy and freaked-out musical universe that is Elevatorforer. This Danish psych collective consists of eight musicians who have transported their minds on a mission back to the '60s and early '70s. The band combines memorable songwriting with the free-flowing style and jamming qualities that are so characteristic for the acid rock genre. The whole thing has a distinct DIY-quality with homemade original artwork and a playful hippie jam feeling. This is one of the band's TWO debut-albums, featuring a direct acid rock sound, fuzzed-out guitars and gloomy, desperate lyrics. LP on splatter vinyl!

IN ZAIRE - VISIONS OF THE AGE TO COME (LP/SOUND OF COBRA)

In Zaire returns with an eightfold kaleidoscope coming into blissful focus! 'Visions Of The Age To Come' presents the band doing a feverish dance on the edges of a rock heritage and psychedelic outlands.

LAS ROBERTAS - WAVES OF THE NEW (LP/THE JOHN COLBY)

'Waves Of The New' is the third LP from Las Robertas from Costa Rica. The 10 songs are influenced by '90s noise pop with energetic guitar riff and bass lines, mixed up with psych rock, thus creating an atmosphere of colours and mysticism. Las Robertas is one of the most important bands from the current independent Costa Rican and Latin American scene.

PUTA VOLCANO - HARMONY OF SPHERES (LP/IOTA5)

Puta Volcano is a musical entity known for its extravagant, lengthy recording sessions, aiming to find truths about the spirituality of goat cheese and its place in the universe. 'Harmony Of Spheres' features guitars, the beating of drum skins, bass and appealing female vocals. This edition is limited to 300 copies on BLACK VINYL.

TERRAPIN - SANCTUARY (LP/G.O.D. RECORDS)

'Sanctuary' is the debut album by Terrapin, a trio from Athens, Greece, consisting of seasoned musicians who have left their mark on the local scene. (Two musicians are founding members of acclaimed psych-prog rockers No Man's Land). But this is much more than a side project. Centered around the songwriting of guitarist/vocalist Vassilis Bas Athanassiadis, Terrapin explores the realms of folk rock, acid folk, psychedelia and beyond, in a mostly guitar-driven, acoustic setting, with frequent bursts of electricity. A cast of highly regarded guests contribute on keyboards, harmonica, sitar and cello. Limited to 300 copies.

POP/ROCK/BLUES

PADOT NA VIZANTIJA - POCETAK I KRAJ (BLACK/+CD) (LP/NE!)

The complete recordings of this influential 1980's post-punk, darkwave and gothic rock band with Christian convictions and occasional Byzantine elements. Hailing from Skopje, Macedonia, the group is notable for the inclusion of both vocalist Goran Trajkoski, who rose to international prominence as the frontman of the group Anastasia, and guitar player Klime Kovaceski. This release contains all of the band's studio and live recordings, as well as the rare rehearsal demo-CD. Edition of 200 copies on BLACK VINYL.

AUTOMATIC CITY - BONGOES & TREMELOES (+CD) (LP/STAG-O-LEE)

Following up the band's first album of raw, uncut blues, 'One Batch Of Blues', Automatic City takes a bold step towards bongo percussion, voodoo and Caribbean rhythms, space echoed jumpin' blues, and tremolo and slide guitar vibrations, while still keeping the sound rough and gritty. A notable fact is that the band uses unusual -for the genre- instruments s.a. sanza, odd percussions, and primitive electronic devices such as the stylophone, theremin, or Rhythm Ace drum machine.

METAL/HARDROCK

OLIVERI, NICK - (BLACK) N.O. HITS AT ALL, VOL. 2 (LP/HEAVY PSYCH SOU)

Volume 2 of a series featuring bands with Nick Oliveri on vocals. Edition on BLACK VINYL. SIDE 1: 1. The Dwarves - We Only Came To Get High 2. Royale Daemons - Nothing At All 3. Queens Of The Stone Age - Back To Dungaree High (Turbonegro) SIDE 2: 1. The You Know Who - Wastoid 2. Death Acoustic - John Lawman/Green Machine (Roky Erickson/Kyuss) 3. Lightnin' Woodcoc - In The Butt

GARAGE/BEAT/PUNK/HARDCORE

RHUM RUNNERS - KICK THE GONG (CD/DOGHOUSE & BONE)

The last time we heard from these French sailing troubadours, they had drunk all their rations and had fouled anchor outside of Tonkin. Word is they have now washed in to the dry seas of Mesopotamia, doing the only thing they can: create that mash-up of rock and roll with a splash of the exotic! Take a trip with these fantastic musicians as they have created a unique sound that's as fresh as the South Atlantic trade winds. Anchors away! TRACKS: 01. Caracas Part 1 02. Harbour Fever 03. Toss Him Some! 04. Chop Chop 05. Nefertiti 06. Unsinkable Sam 07. Contrabandist Inventory 08. Tortuga 09. Pensa Goes West 10. Chimpanzee Frenzy 11. Kick The Gong 12. Caracas Part 2

VARIOUS - SLOW GRIND FEVER, VOL. 7 (LP/STAG-O-LEE)

The seventh volume in this amazing series of slow grinding R&B/soul/exotica tunes as played in a club in Melbourne, Australia. Side A is compiled -and features liner notes- by Richie1250 while Pierre Baroni was responsible for the contents of Side B, plus its accompanying liners. SIDE A: 1. Bob & Lucille - Demon Lover (Ditto, 1958) 2. The Ravons - I'm A Fugitive (Davis, 1959) 3. Kip Tyler - Shadow Street (Challenge, 1957) 4. Ferlin Husky - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams (Capitol, 1957) 5. DUSTY MUSH - COUCH POTATO (LP/HOWLIN BANANA)

The second full-length by this French band. The music on offer is straight up garage-punk, sounding somewhere between Billy Childish and early Ty Segall, with an emphasis on FUZZ. It took Dusty Mush three years of experimenting on the borders of lo-fi in order to get the right sound.

EX-CULT - BLURRY (7"/RED LOUNGE)

The 2017 EP by this band with previous releases on Goner and In The Red. The tracks on Side 2 are called 'Final Exit' and 'Double Hits'.

EXPERIMENTAL

ELECTRIC SEWER AGE - (BLACK) MOON'S MILK IN FINAL PHASE (LP/SOLEILMOON)

Starting as a glowing spark in the imagination of John Deek of Divine Frequency, Electric Sewer Age was conceived in 2006. Little more was known about this upcoming project than that it was likely to feature involvement from former Coil legends Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson and Danny Hyde, perhaps with the posthumous contributions of Jhonn Balance. The music, originally intended to conclude Coil's 'Moon's Milk' series, was previously released on CD in 2012, and then on vinyl the next year. Both editions sold out quckly after which this music was unavailable until now. This edition is limited to 250 copies on BLACK VINYL.

GULBENKOGLU, AREK - THREE DAYS AFTERWARDS (LP/PENULTIMATE PRE)

'Three Days Afterwards' is the fourth solo release from Arek Gulbenkoglu, containing a disorientating assignment of tones, textures and voice. Hovering around key words like 'Sickness', 'Rooms', 'Objects', 'Rituals' or Armenia', this is unsettling psychedelic music, ripe for the current foreboding age.

KA-SPEL, EDWARD - HIGH ON STATION YELLOW MOON (LP/SOLEILMOON)

'High On Station Yellow Moon' is the 2017 solo-album by Edward Ka-spel of The Legendary Pink Dots, marking the beginning of his collaboration with longtime friend and fellow traveller Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls. Things don't get more conceptual than this.

REINHARDT, JONAS/JÜRGEN MÜLLER - THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF CIVILIZATIONS, VOL. 1 (LP/ABSTRAKCE)

'EGYPT' - The first volume of 'The Encyclopedia Of Civilizations' series, a collection of split LP's on which artists offer their own insight into fascinating ancient cultures. On this volume the music is inspired by ancient Egypt. The LP comes with a 10-page booklet with images and texts explaining historic facts. The texts, written by Spanish archeologist and researcher Juan Ruiz, in a half scientific/half poetic way and the ambient/kosmische/new age/psychedelic music by both artists will transport your mind to ancient Egypt.
