O.A.S.I. (Paolo Modugno, Massimo Terracini, Gino Castaldo and Ermano Ghisio Erba) blended industrial experimentation, ambient and concrete, with a strong ethnic element. Composed as the score to an avant-garde theatre play, 'Il Cavaliere Azzurro' is a work that identified a historical moment of fervid experimentation and inspiration. Though intended to be played during a theatrical performance, the music vividly stands out without the visual accompaniment. This material was originally released on IRA in 1986.
