Another film which should have been a major smash but somehow fell below the publics radar, is the Peter Sellers comedy classic "After The Fox". Boasting a superb cast, Peter Sellers, Victor Mature and Britt Ekland, a brilliant playwright, Neil Simon and a soundtrack composed by the KING of great songs, Burt Bacharach, "After The Fox" should have been a box office smash, especially following on from the previous years "Whats New Pussycat". Despite all these plus points the film itself managed to bomb..until just recently when the soundtrack deservedly attained cult status as a result of Burt Bacharachs recently renewed burst of popularity. And rightly so! "After The Fox" is vintage Bacharach from the title song itself (which was written with Burt Bacharachs long-time lyricist Hal David) to the jaunty "Making A Movie In Sevalio", the spy-flavored "Hot Gold" to the lush strings of "Love x 2". The title track features the Hollies and Peter Sellers on vocals - perhaps one of the strangest collaborations ever! Now highly collectable, this is the first time on 180 gram vinyl for "After The Fox".
