The band developed their sound, while they were still mixing up all the interesting music styles of the late 50s and early 60s, like Garage, Surf, R'N'B, Soul, R'N'R as well as Punk-Rock and a bouncing lace of exotic things, without being servile to any rules. This and also the fact, that the live performance of the band is so wild and loose-fitting - they look like freshly run away from virgin forest - possibly represents the jungle-like atmosphere of the band.
