-with hints of funk- and a powerful vocal style somewhat
comparable to Otis Redding. Exact repro of his sole album,
partly recorded with his group The Babysitters. Featuring producer CURTIS MAYFIELD's 'Hard Times', 'Running' and 'Mighty Mighty Children', a surprising instrumental version of 'California Dreaming', a 9 minute+ cover of Sam Cooke's 'A Change Is Gonna Come' and more, the late Baby Huey's sole album (recorded in 1970, released the following year) has become a sought-after collectors' item among soul and funk fanatics. But there also is plenty to enjoy for psych heads, especially on Side 2. Baby Huey (real name: James Ramey) sadly passed away shortly after finishing these essential recordings. Also available on 180 gram and red vinyl.
