'Pieces Of Light' was recorded and released in 1974 by the CJR label. McPhee picked up on the growing electronic music movement, recording a set of duos on saxophones, trumpet, flat alto horn, flute, modified Nagoya harp, chimes and voice, together with John Snyder who played an ARP analogue synthesizer. The result is a stunning six-part meditation on how best to combine acoustically and electrically driven sounds. This definitely was something a little different from the Fire Music of the time. TRACKS: 1. Prologue/Twelve 2. Shadow Sculptures 3. Les Heros Sont Fatigues 4. Windows In Dreams 5. Red Giant 6. Colors In Crystal
