200 Years After The Last War

'200 Years After The Last War' was released in 1974 and has only the title track in common with the fabled, censored and banned Hungarian original '200 Evvel Az Utolsó Háború Után', which is figuratively about birth control in a totalitarian system tells. The 20-minute track on side A combines various influences from which the Hungarians formed their own style at the time: blues, early Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. After three productions in the Dierks Studios, this time they moved to the English Chipping Norton Studios and came back with a tonal hybrid of Focus, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Sparks and Cockney Rebel. The sound was drier than before, the guitars were crisper, the keyboards more dominant and the orchestral arrangements gave the entire album a touch of space rock.
