Schooley, John -& His One Man Band-

One Man Against The World

The Story of John Schooley (Austin,Texas) is a story from a man with a Heart Deep in the Blues and the left Foot in the Dirty Rocknroll.. with his first band the Revelators and then with the Fantastic Hard Feelings, he did build the ground he is walking on today.. Blues is Angry and Sad the same time you Hate someone because you Love him so much and this Feeling is what Schooley brings on the Tape so perfect he has a incredible technic as a one man band with his double kick pedal and snare he can give so much drive in the music that its incredible I think.. EVERY DAY CAN GET YOU DOWN is a perfect example of that.. starting up as a standard blues riff and going and ending up in a full power blues trash fist in your face disaster.. what do you need more.. RL Burnside (Schooley was guitar player for him on tours) couldnt make this better. On the crooked path, you here the amazing POSSESSED BY PAUL JAMES (Voodoo Rhythm records) on the Fiddle. He mixes up much more styles this time and instruments as the album before, Rockabilly for example in the Wildest form and he even uses a Cello in MY BABY CRIED ALL NIGHT LONG. The Album Cover is made again by the amazing Rob Jones (the white Stripes). Tracks: 1. One Man Against the World (Part I) 2. Somebody In My Home 3. Cantrell Creek Breakdown 4. Every Day Can Get You Down 5. The Crooked Path 6. Down South Blues 7. My Baby Cried All Night Long 8. Wildcat Tamer 9. I dnt Like the Blues No How 10. Hudcore 11. Miss Maybelle 12.
