Bande-Gamboa is a project made up of two all-star bands, created to re-interpret extremely rare or unreleased tracks from Guinee-Bissau and Cabo Verde. This project was created by producer/DJ Francisco Sousa and produced by Guts, along with band members from both Guinee-Bissau and Cabo Verde. The tracks from Cabo Verde focus mainly on the Funana style, while the tracks from Guinee-Bissau are a modern take on traditional rhythm Gumbe.
