Ex-Easter Island Head is a Liverpool-based experimental quartet composing and performing music for prepared electric guitar, percussion and other instruments. At times 'Norther', the group's 2024 album, might recall the experiments of Rhys Chatham and Glenn Branca, the widescreen beauty of The Necks, the relentless experimentation of Arnold Dreyblatt or the boundary-pushing roster of Kompakt Records, yet ultimately this is music that has no direct compare.
