Fonseca Et Ses Anges Noirs

Fonseca is the son of a Senegalese mother and a father from Cape Verde. Hence the Portuguese sounding name: Louis Vera Da Fonseca. In the 1950's, he founded the group Les Anges Noirs (The Black Angels) in Brussels and soon Fonseca was nicknamed "the King of Afro-Cuban rhythm". After several great successes from the early sixties to 1968, Fonseca suddenly disappeared from the music scene in the late '60s. The story goes that he died in 1970, but is not confirmed to this day. This reissue comes on 180 gram vinyl.
