Greg Lake
After passing through local south coast bands, Greg Lake became bassist and lead singer of pro-rock contenders King Crimson, fronting 'In The Court Of The Crimson King,' but left to join super group Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Then, after ELP split, Lake's self-titled 1981 solo debut allowed him to reembrace straight forward rock, the new five-piece steered by guitarist Gary Moore, whose 'Nuclear Attack' is a strong opener, with keyboardist Tommy Eyre, drummer Ted McKenna of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band and bassist Tristram Margetts of Spontaneous Combustion providing blues-rock underpinning.
