This is the first in a prospective series of compilations that will compare and contrast the merits and outputs of two Bristol acts who may, or may not, have connected with a wider audience in their time. Lovetrain included Jon Jo Key and Robin Key, the brothers who brought you The Various Artists and Either/OR, two of Bristol's finest pop/rock bands. Also active during the early punk and new wave-era, The Distant Cousins featured singer Gavin King who is best known for fronting pioneering punk outfit Private Dicks.
