Petrovic, Boban

Zur/zora (2lp)

Limited edition 2-album set in a unique felt outersleeve! 'Zur' comes in original unique foldout cover. Includes LP-sized 20 page interview booklet. 'Zora' comes in gold printed original cover.' 'Zur' ('Zhure', party) is absolute cult and one of the most rare Yugoslavian disco funk albums, originally recorded in 1981, reissued on Everland Music for the first time since the original vinyl came out more than 40 years ago. The album was carefully and brilliantly remastered by grammy nominated sound engineer Jessica Thomson. Boban Petrovic is a legend of Belgrade's sophisticated disco funk scene from the late '70s and early '80s. Zur captures the vibrant underground disco scene of late-`70s Belgrade and reflects Boban's confident, playful persona at the height of his musical career. Remastered by Grammy-nominated Jessica Thompson, it remains a global disco funk treasure, with original vinyl being a sought-after item. Zora, Boban's final album, is a darker, psychedelic disco work created during political and personal turmoil. It channels the emotional weight of a collapsing Yugoslavia and marks his departure from music and the country. Together, these albums chronicle the highs and lows of Boban's journey_from jet-set party icon to introspective artist.
