Suzzallo
The Quiet Year
'The Quiet Year' is the debut-album by Suzzallo, a Seattle-based rock band fronted by Rocky Votolato. After the devastating loss of his child in a tragic car accident, Votolato created an entire new world inside of aggressive anthemic rock songs to transmute extreme grief and loss into something healing and beautiful. This is a return to form for Votolato, who for the past two decades has had a successful career as an indie-rock solo artist, but who also played in heavier bands including Waxwing.
