Zio Crocifisso
Campana Di Legno + Trappola Per Topi
Zio Crocifisso is an avant-prog instrumental project formed in 2021 and is influenced by acts like King Crimson, Tool, and Zu. Their sound blends heavy-prog, math-rock, ambient, and experimental elements. Their debut EP 'Campana Di Legno' (2024) was followed by live performances in both rock and cinematic settings. In 2025, with a new bassist and guest contributors, the group released 'Campana Di Legno + Trappola Per Topi,' a genre-shifting album featuring lyrical themes drawn from Giovanni Verga's novel 'I Malavoglia.' The band's name, taken from a character in Verga's work, reflects their conceptual foundation in Italian Verismo, mirroring their goal to sonically portray the chaos of modern life.
